UniFlow HDPE Acid Digestion Fume Hoods

UniFlow HDPE Acid Digestion Fume Hoods are designed for laboratory environments requiring superior resistance to highly corrosive chemicals. Featuring a seamless one-piece fume chamber constructed of high-density polyethylene (HDPE), these hoods provide long-lasting durability and safe containment.

Available in widths of 48”, 60”, and 72”, HDPE digestion hoods include an integral work surface, drainage system, and dedicated wash-down system for efficient cleaning and maintenance.

Constructed with an HDPE unitized dual-wall superstructure for superior chemical resistance, strength, and durability. The vent outlet is integral to the structure for improved performance and longevity.

The fume chamber and baffle system are constructed from a seamless HDPE liner with 24” or 30” interior depth. The one-piece design resists chemical reactions and prevents buildup in joints or seams.

The integral HDPE work surface is welded directly into the superstructure and features a dished design with rear drain trough to contain spills and support wash-down functionality.

Equipped with spray nozzles, piping, control valve, and rear drain trough for efficient rinsing and cleaning after use.

Removable access panel allows convenient access to ducting and electrical connections from a single service point.

Factory-installed vapor-proof LED lighting with polished stainless steel reflectors. Energy-efficient and U.L. listed with a 5-year warranty.

28” vertical sash opening provides access for apparatus setup. Features tempered safety glass, counterbalanced operation, and chemical-resistant framing.

Continuously monitors face velocity airflow to meet ANSI and OSHA requirements.

Sash stop limits opening to 50% to improve safety and reduce airflow requirements for energy savings.

Sash Management & Energy Efficiency

HEMCO’s Sash Management 1-2-3 system is designed to improve safety while significantly reducing energy consumption and operating costs.

  • Operating the sash at 50% open maintains recommended face velocity (80–100 FPM)

  • Reduces airflow requirements and lowers blower and ductwork costs

  • Helps achieve up to 50% energy savings

  • Encourages proper safety practices during operation

When not in use, the sash should remain closed to maintain safety and efficiency.
